![]() Both are raised on their hind legs, claws interlaced as they attempt to knock each other over. Two enormous, monstrous women remain locked in hand-to-hand- or claw-to-claw- combat. Once she does, she marvels at the source. As she nears the source of the roars, other sounds reach The Handler’s ears: thumping, pounding, booming… Whatever’s happening ahead has to be exciting~ It doesn’t take long for her to reach the next clearing and a large log for her to hide behind. This deep in the woods, hardly any light gets through. There it is! She muses, another of those roars! I must be getting close now! She looks up into the trees and sees only leaves. She leaps over logs and ducks beneath branches, all while keeping her tanned leather clothing scratch free. She does not stand that tall- even compared to other women- and because of that has a very easy time making it through the dense brush. Something The Handler has always been happy about is being a shorter girl. Snickering, The Handler slinks slightly deeper into the woods, and in the blink of an eye, is rid of her ‘protector’. “You stay put while I check it out!” With that she lumbers off- big armor and all- towards a problem that doesn’t exist. She chatters her teeth and shakes her knees… something her hired huntress totally buys. “Hey, what’s that?” The Handler bolts up and points towards a shadow a little bit off. However, she won’t be getting anywhere with the huntress on her back. That means she could have a long walk ahead, along with some danger on the path. From the sounds of it, whatever- or whoever- is making the growling is deep in the woods. What matters to her now is finding some freedom to actually escape. “Yeah, sure…” In truth, The Handler doesn’t care at all. “You’re staying right here until that thing goes away. ![]() She instead thrusts the handle of her weapon into the dirt and points towards the ground. “But… if I don’t get seen by them, I can’t get hurt, right?” She looks back at the huntress, putting on her best pair of puppy eyes in the process.Īpparently, her guard doesn’t buy it. “Maybe you’re right,” she moans, “I doubt it’s something new, exciting or cool growling like that… not in these woods at least.” Her guard huffs, clearly doing her best to keep The Handler out of trouble. Groaning, the younger- and smaller- of the two goes back to her herbs. “You better not, girl.” The huntress shoulders her massive weapon, clearly intending to make a point. The Handler’s eyes light up while the huntress goes pale. She’s cut off by a deep growl, one originating from deeper in the woods. The Handler fully realizes that she’s been holding the other woman up for some time now, even if it’s been unintentional. “We can get going whenever you’re ready!” “Perfect,” she giggles, “I’ve got everything I need now!” The girl stands up, giving her own handler an assured wink. “Hm,” she muses, “looks like a basic reviver herb.” She sniffs it, finding it extremely bitter… just like it should be. Curious, The Handler flips her goggles over her face, letting her take a better look at the herb. She spends another moment sifting through the bush before finding a large leaf. Whatever it is, though, it keeps her mostly safe from the various monsters that lurk in the woods. So far she’s found the mushrooms and has finally found herself some nice herbs to pick.īehind her, The Handler’s assigned ‘guard’ carries some huge, hulking weapon… a kind that she hasn’t really researched. “I will be soon, there are a few more ingredients I need to gather here.” At the moment, she’s trying to make a basic healing potion, which requires herbs, mushrooms and honey. Knee-deep in a herb bush, the young woman casually waves the remark away. “You done yet?” Calls the gruff lady-hunter The Handler has been following. As one of the premier monster experts, she has a responsibility to find all that she needs to survive in the wilderness… with some help. The Handler always needs a lot of materials from her expeditions.
